STEPS TO BECOMING A USA HOCKEY COACH
USA Hockey and the Coaching Education Program require both certification and registration to be eligible to coach. The following USA Hockey Requirements must be completed before participating in any team activities:
On behalf of the Santa Fe Hockey Association, kudos to all of our coaches for their dedication to the Capitals. We are stoked for the upcoming year and are working on finalizing the coaching staff, including selecting a new head coach, scheduling an all-coach meeting, and publishing a coaching handbook. The most urgent item on the drawing board is ensuring that our coaches meet the USA Hockey requirements. To facilitate the process, we created the SFHA Safe Sport & CEP Form. Please complete the form with your credentials. SFHA is pleased to reimburse you for the associated costs; you can request reimbursement via the same form.

Ready to elevate your game with private and semi-private instruction? SFHA is pleased to introduce "on-demand" coaching sessions with our very own coaches Lisa Schub and Sage Beaman.
Coach Lisa comes with over 15 years of learn-to-skate and learn-to-play experience. She has taught many past and present Capitals and Bluejackets, focusing on power skating, figure skating, and on-ice conditioning. Lisa is a hockey mom of two aspiring athletes.

Coach Sage grew up in Santa Fe, playing hockey, and joins SFHA with 15 years of competitive hockey experience. Coach Sage focuses on power skating, stick and puck handling skills, and hockey IQ.
