Information and Expectations of Team Managers

SFHA Manager DutiesĀ 

Role:  Team managers serve as the liaison between coaches and hockey parents / families, primarily for weekly communications and game day operations. 

Past / current managers will assist with orienting new managers to assigned duties. 

Managers must be registered with USA Hockey & Safe Sport certified. 

Duties:

  • Work with John Utsey to transfer team roster / family contact information into Sports Engine app
  • Assist team coach with scheduling parent meeting within first weeks of season
  • Attend parent meeting
  • Provide weekly communication via SportsEngine for parents, including the week’s schedule, coach’s notes, and other relevant information.
  • Solicit and assign volunteers for locker room monitoring and game day assignments
  • Assist coach with other duties as needed
  • Mini mites / mites managers may wish to develop a snack program for after games
  • Organize end of year party for team
  • Managers may also choose to work with their team families to organize an end of year gift for coaches

Game day assignments:

  • Mites / mini mites:  Bench support, as needed, music and clock 
  • Squirts & above:  Locker room monitors, penalty box, music, clock & scoreboard
