The Santa Fe Blue Jackets' first line of Jackson Spingler, Alex Cloud-Russell and Craig Parry has been unstoppable through the first five games of the New Mexico Interscholastic Ice Hockey League.

But the troika will have a hard time topping itself after combining for eight goals and nine assists in a 9-0 victory over La Cueva on Sunday at Outpost South in Albuquerque.

"It's almost like they've been playing their whole teen lives together," Paul DeVicentis, Santa Fe head coach, said. "They really look for each other and are working well below the circle."

Spingler topped the scoring ladder with four goals. Cloud-Russell was a rung below with three. Parry netted one. The three evenly divvied nine assists.

Zak Krasnow capped the scoring with his first goal of the season, while Larson Walker, Mick Gonzales, Christian Vigil and Burch Ault recorded one assist apiece.

Jordan Fuentes made 11 saves for the Blue Jackets (5-0), who led 5-0 after the first period and 7-0 at the end of two.
